January was a bleak month for me. I wasn't even awarded 82 hours. It looks as though February could show a little promise, but not much. At first glance we again have a seasonal reduction in flying; However, with the outbound transfers of a few COS FA's we are at a C package this month. Maybe that will help, but I am not confident. I am still moving up in the seniority list too so this summer does look promising. This month I am number 36 of 65 (55.4%) in COS.
This shows my progression on seniority in COS. While I don't have the numbers of what the domicile held during these months, I do have my bid package seniority and my company seniority which tell an interesting story of attrition.

Finally, the DEN/COS RSR Report for February 2010:
Happy New Year! It's a new decade and there is already a lot of change coming our way. I just got back from sim training and the word going around is that we are really going to be busy. Awards are already out for the 1st transition class of the year with crews going to DEN and ORD. Have a look and see how senior/junior it went compared to you! Remember, seniority is relative to your seat in base and every change effects what you may be awarded from PBS with respect to the pairings.
As always: Make sure to look at the pairings to see the monthly changes!
Big Picture: Between United making structural changes and Air Tran ramping up MKE quickly, there are more block hours for us, SkyWest. Delta continues to wreak havoc with its Delta Connection schedule and we are shifting flying around in and out of places we don't normally fly a lot (MSP etc). Like the weather, the only constant is change!
DEN: We got a large increase in flying across the board for February. More block hours/lines and all crews will be busy flying (including reserves!) Trip mix is similar to January with the difference being a reduction in 3 days and more 5 days on the 200.
COS: Increase in overall number of lines and with lines averages being higher, expect to be flying more than January. As for the trip mix...the good news is that the number of instances of 5 days is down. Unfortunately, so are locals and 2 days. For those crews that like 3 and especially 4 days (and yes there crews who like multiday trips), February is going to be great!
If you don't like the pairings or if you do let me know! Send me an email (SWOL or scottmaclean@mail.com). Its the only way to help me help you...
Have a great day and happy bidding,
Scott Maclean.
